Hailing from rural Alabama (think Talladega Nights), Martin graduated with a degree in Musical Theatre from Birmingham-Southern College, which, uh, closed in 2024. Since moving to New York, he has worked as an actor, musician and music director (and sometimes a combination of the three) on and off Broadway, on national tours, and regionally.
As an actor, he's currently making his Broadway debut as an offstage standby for three roles in Oh, Mary! He also recently completed the run of Dog Man: The Musical at New World Stages, and appeared in the second season of Only Murders in the Building. Other NYC credits include Between the Lines, Til Divorce Do Us Part, Son of a Gun, and Dear Edwina. As a musician, he's accompanied Tony winners and nominees, and played/conducted pits off-Broadway, as well as for Paper Mill Playhouse. As a writer, his plays and musicals have received over one hundred productions in twelve different countries, and his work has been seen in NYC at 54 Below, Birdland, and The Duplex. His musical Fun at the Beach Romp-Bomp-a-Lomp!!, co-written with social media phenom Brandon Lambert, recently received its world premiere at Southwark Playhouse in London.
The best part of all? He's married to Janice Landry, and they have two sons, Jackson and Walker.
