Hailing from rural Alabama (think Talladega Nights), Martin graduated with a degree in Musical Theatre from Birmingham-Southern College. Since moving to New York, he has worked as an actor, musician and music director (and sometimes a combination of the three) Off-Broadway, on national tours, and regionally.
As a writer, Martin was accepted into the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop. Prior to this, he composed music and co-wrote lyrics (with Janice Landry) to several musicals for Christian Theatre Publications, which have received over 120 productions on four continents. Additionally, he was commissioned by North Star Academy in Newark, NJ to write lyrics for "The Three Little Pigs Learn Responsibility." His songs have also been performed at 54 Below and Comix Comedy Club in NYC. His latest musical, Fun at the Beach Romp-Bomp-a-Lomp!!, is being developed with Broadway/West End director Mark Bell (The Play That Goes Wrong, A Comedy About a Bank Robbery).
The best part of all? He's married to Janice Landry, and they have two sons, Jackson and Walker.
